Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, is conducting the OTET 2026 for teaching posts in Classes 1-5 (Paper I) and Classes 6-8 (Paper II) in government schools across Odisha.

Important Dates:

• Notification Release: 23 March 2026
• Application Start: 26 March 2026
• Application End: 9 April 2026 (11:45 PM)
• Fee Payment End: 9 April 2026 (11:45 PM)
• Admit Card Release: 15 May 2026
• Exam Date: 29 May 2026

Eligibility Criteria:

• Paper I (Classes 1-5): Higher Secondary (+2) with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories), D.El.Ed/CT/B.El.Ed/Diploma in Special Education.
• Paper II (Classes 6-8): Graduation with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories), B.Ed/D.El.Ed/B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
• Age: Minimum 21 years (no upper age limit).
• Residency: Permanent resident of Odisha.

Application Fee:

• UR/SEBC: ₹500
• SC/ST: ₹300
