Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification & Experience
A person shall not be qualified for appointment as Presiding Officer of Debts Recovery Tribunal unless he is, or has been, a District Judge, or is, or has been a member of the Indian Legal Service in Grade I or above.

Vacancies are available across 20 Debts Recovery Tribunals, including Mumbai, Chandigarh, Allahabad, Lucknow, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Cuttack, Ernakulam, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Pune, Dehradun, Kolkata, Patna, Nagpur, Siliguri, and Chennai. Unforeseen vacancies up to 30.04.2027 may also be filled.

The selection will be done by a Search-Cum-Selection Committee.
