CMWSSB Apprentice Recruitment 2026
The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has announced recruitment for Apprentices to provide practical training to engineering graduates and diploma holders.
Vacancy Distribution
- Graduate Apprentices: 76 Posts
- Technician Diploma Apprentices: 32 Posts
- Total Vacancies: 108
Eligibility Criteria
- Domicile: Candidates must belong to Tamil Nadu.
- Educational Qualification:
- Graduate Apprentice: Full-time B.E. or B.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Technician Apprentice: Full-time Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Eligible Passing Years: 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and May 2026.
- Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must be registered on the NATS portal with accurate qualification percentages.
Stipend & Training
- Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 12,300 per month
- Technician Diploma Apprentice: Rs. 10,900 per month
- Duration: One year (as per Apprenticeship Amendment Act, 1973).
Selection Process
- Merit-based Shortlisting: Based on the percentage of marks obtained in the degree/diploma.
- Verification: Certificate verification at CMWSSB, Chennai. Note: No written examination or interview will be conducted.

- Application Last Date: 17 October 2026
- Shortlist Release: 4th week of October 2026
- Certificate Verification: 1st week of November 2026 (Tentative)
