Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has released notification No. 382/2025-27 for filling 178 vacancies across 15 different categories. These positions are on a purely temporary, 11-month contract basis.

Vacancy Details & Remuneration

The roles vary from high-level planning to technical assistance. Key positions include:

• Urban Planner: 05 Posts (₹80,000/month)
• Archaeology and Museology Officer: 01 Post (₹50,000/month)
• Dy. Environmental Engineer: 04 Posts (₹43,950/month)
• Assistant Environmental Engineer: 19 Posts (₹39,250/month)
• Garden Supervisor/Assistant: 57 Posts (₹20,000 - ₹30,000/month)
• Work Assistants (Civil/Mech/Elec): 68 Posts (₹20,000/month)
• Other roles: GIS Operator, Librarian, Draftsman, and Surveyor.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: Maximum 45 years for all posts.
• Educational Qualifications:

  • Technical Roles: Diploma/Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Specialized Roles: Masters in Urban Planning, Post-Graduate in Archaeology, or B.Sc in Horticulture.
  • Support Roles: ITI certificates for Draftsman and Surveyors, B.Lib for Librarians.
• Experience: Required for specific senior roles (ranging from 1 to 10 years depending on the post).
