NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 Overview
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is conducting the Round 2 counselling process for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government dental colleges and 100% seats in deemed/central universities. Simultaneously, various state authorities are releasing their respective state quota schedules.
Eligibility for Round 2
Candidates may participate in Round 2 if they:
- Did not participate in Round 1.
- Did not secure a seat in Round 1.
- Wish to upgrade their previously allotted seat.

How to Apply
- Registration: New candidates must complete fresh registration; existing candidates can log in using previous credentials.
- Details: Enter NEET MDS roll number, application number, and date of birth.
- Payment: Pay the required registration fee and security deposit online.
- Choice Filling: Select and lock preferred colleges/courses before the deadline.
Critical Instructions
- Freeze vs Float: Candidates who selected 'Freeze' are generally ineligible for further rounds. Those on 'Float' may seek upgrades.
- Choice Locking: Once locked, preferences cannot be edited.
- Documentation: Original documents must be ready for reporting to avoid forfeiture of the allotted seat.
- Dual Tracking: Candidates eligible for both AIQ and State quotas must track both portals independently.
