• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Post Codes 01–07 (Semiconductors, VLSI, Photonics, Atmospheric Sciences, Computer Science, etc.)
• Research Associate (RA): Post Codes 08–10 (Oceanic Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Environmental Sciences)
• Project Scientist-I (PS-I): Post Codes 11–16 (Geophysics, Ecology, Remote Sensing, Hydrology, RF & Microwave)

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• JRF: M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc in relevant fields. Note: Must have qualified NET, GATE, or other national-level exams.
• RA: Ph.D. in relevant fields OR M.E./M.Tech with 3 years of research/teaching experience and one SCI-listed journal paper.
• PS-I: Ph.D. or M.E./M.Tech in specialized fields (e.g., Geophysics, Water Resources).

Minimum Marks Required:

• M.E./M.Tech: 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA.
• B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc: 65% aggregate or 6.84 CGPA.

⏳ Age Limit (as of 30.09.2026)

• JRF: Maximum 28 Years
• RA / PS-I: Maximum 35 Years
• Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC-NCL (3 years) as per Govt rules.

💰 Salary & Fellowship

• JRF: ₹37,000 (1st & 2nd Year) $ ightarrow$ ₹42,000 (Subsequent years) + HRA
• Project Scientist-I: ₹56,000 + HRA
• Research Associate: ₹58,000 to ₹67,000 (Depending on level) + HRA
