Overview

The Academy of Weapon Technology & Management (AWTM), Ichapur, a unit of Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) under the Ministry of Defence, is hiring for 40 tenure-based Technical posts on a contractual basis for placement at Gun & Shell Factory (GSF), Kashipur.

Vacancy Details

Total vacancies available: 40 across following trades:

• Mechanical Fitter: 14
• Turner: 07
• Machinist: 06
• Electroplater: 06
• Electrical Fitter: 04
• Heat Treatment Operator: 03

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Matriculation (10th) plus a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT.
• Age Limit: 18 to 35 years (as of the application deadline).

  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • OBC: +3 years
  • PwD: +10 years

Selection Process

Selection is based purely on merit through the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on marks obtained in the NCVT trade examination.
2. Trade Test: Practical test conducted by AWTM Ichapur.
3. Final Merit: Weighted score of 80% (NCVT marks) and 20% (Trade Test marks).
4. Verification: Document verification and medical fitness test.
