Recruitment Overview

South Eastern Railway (SER) has released the official notification for recruitment under the Scouts & Guides Quota for 2026-27. This is a specialized recruitment for candidates who possess both the required educational qualifications and mandatory Scouts & Guides certifications.

Vacancy Details

• Level-2 (Group C): 02 Posts
• Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D): 08 Posts
• Total Vacancies: 10

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• For Level-2: 12th (+2 stage) with minimum 50% marks OR 10th Pass with NAC/ITI approved by NCVT.
• For Level-1: 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent qualification (NAC granted by NCVT).

Mandatory Scouts & Guides Qualification

Candidates must fulfill the following to be eligible:

• Must be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR a Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder.
• Minimum 5 years of active membership in the Scouts Organization.
• Participation in at least two National Level/All India Railway events and two State Level events.

Age Limit (As of 01-01-2027)

• Level-2 (Group C): 18 to 30 Years
• Level-1 (Group D): 18 to 33 Years (Age relaxation applies as per government norms)

Application Fee

• General/OBC: ₹500 (Refundable ₹400 after written test)
• SC/ST/ESM/PwBD/Women/Minority/EBC: ₹250 (Refundable ₹250 after written test)

Selection Process

1. Written Test: 60 Marks (40 Objective + 20 Essay) focusing on Scouts & Guides and GK.
2. Certificate Evaluation: 40 Marks based on achievements.
