The Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Pr. CCIT), West Bengal & Sikkim Region, has announced vacancies for sportspersons under the sports quota.

📌 Vacancy Details

• Total Posts: 82
• Tax Assistant (TA): 25 Vacancies (Pay Level-4: ₹25,500 – 81,100)
• Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 57 Vacancies (Pay Level-1: ₹18,000 – 56,900)

🏀 Recognized Games/Sports

Vacancies are available across 17 sports, including:

• Cricket, Football, Athletics, Basketball, Swimming, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Kabaddi, Bridge, Chess, Carrom, Body Building, Badminton, Archery, Karate, Lawn Tennis, and Para Athletics.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

• Tax Assistant: Degree from a recognized University (Age: 18-27 years).
• MTS: Matriculation (Class 10) pass (Age: 18-25 years).
• Sports Requirement: Must have represented State/Country in National/International competitions or won medals in recognized tournaments (Junior Nationals, Khelo India, SGFI, etc.) between 01.01.2022 and 30.06.2026.

⚙️ Selection Process

1. Scrutiny: Application review based on sports achievement and education.
2. Document Verification: Verification of original certificates.
3. Field Test: Ground/Field Proficiency Test to evaluate sporting skill.
4. Skill Test: Data Entry Skill Test (for Tax Assistant applicants).
5. Final Merit: Based on performance and proficiency test marks.
