The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the cut-off marks for the June 2026 session of the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). These marks are the benchmark for qualifying for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor posts, and PhD admissions.

• Subjects Released: Cut-offs for 84 out of 87 subjects are now available.
• Pending Subjects: English, Commerce, and Sociology (due to re-exams).

  • Sociology: 10 September 2026

Qualifying Criteria

To be declared qualified, candidates must:

• Meet the specific subject and category-wise cut-off.
• Clear both Paper 1 and Paper 2; qualifying only one paper is insufficient.
• Note that JRF cut-offs are consistently higher than Assistant Professor cut-offs due to limited slots.
